What is Applied Behavior Analysis?
Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) is a systematic approach to understanding and changing behavior. This method is often used to help individuals with developmental delays or maladaptive behaviors. As practitioners we break down behaviors into small, measurable parts, and then analyze them to identify the cause and effect relationships. Once these relationships are understood, our therapists work on modifying the behavior by providing positive reinforcement for desired behaviors and decreasing reinforcement for undesired behaviors.
